NEW YORK—It seemed busier at times outside New York’s Jacob Javits Center this past Saturday than inside. And inside, moving with the crowd—literally—was the way to get down most aisles at the debut New York Comic-Con, held February 24-26. Of the 4,000 tickets that were initially sold for Saturday alone, more than five times the amount of attendees easily showed up to purchase tickets the day of, leaving show planners with little choice than to turn people away by early afternoon, including late-coming ticket holders.
