They Might Be Giants Play Special Two-Show Gig

“We recently won a Grammy,” They Might Be Giants vocalist and guitarist John Flansburgh unabashedly admitted. “It’s an honor just to win.” Flansburgh was reminding the audience about the band’s recent win for Here Come the 123s (2008), their third children’s album. These kid tunes were partially the reason behind the alt-rockers two-show gig at the cozy art gallery and performance venue Le Poisson Rouge Saturday night; they also played a 3pm family show.
