Interview: Airborne Toxic Event’s Mikel Jollett

Mikel Jollett is tired of cop cars. If he just didn’t talk back things would not get so out of hand. Unfortunately, a few intoxicated nights on tour have led The Airborne Toxic Event’s jovial frontman into police custody (no jail yet) on more than one occasion. Actual incarceration would be a deep cut into the band’s current US tour in support of their debut self-titled album, which came out last August. The band’s first single “Sometime Around Midnight” created this ubiquitous buzz around the Los Angeles quintet that just won’t go away. Read entire story
